Does neutering male chows decrease agression?
Q. I have a male chow/lab mix, almost 2 years old. He's been showing mild agression more and more recently. If I get him neutered will he be less agressive? I heard sometimes it can make Chows more agressive. Please don't say its because lack of training, because he is the best behaved dog I've ever had. He rarley shows signs of agression. But when he does he shows his teeth but doesn't bite. But that's what I'm afraid of.

How to prevent food agression in kittens?
Q. Is it even normal? I mean I've heard dogs that have it, but what about 1.5 month old kittens? I've got a single kitten living with her mom, and she has started eating solids. She has developed this vicious attitude towards her food. If I move my hand close to her, she strats growling menacingly and slashing at my hand, and when i hand feed her she attacks my hand (and the food). The thing is basically psycho, and I'd like her to stop. I've considered stroking her while she eats, although that seems to set her off even more, but thought it might cease after a while, so does anyone have anything?

A. I've had to deal with this once before myself and the vet mentioned to me at the time that it isn't completely out of the norm for a kitten to do this. I know this sounds mean (and please keep in mind the kitten isn't hurt by this), but when getting the kitten's food ready pick her up just before you setting the food bowl down. After setting the food down walk out of the kitchen while still holding her. Stroll around your home, walk to the windows, go to the bedroom, whatever -- just continue to carry her no matter how fussy or pushy she gets in wanting to get to the food. After four-or-five minutes go back to the kitchen and sit on the floor in front of the food with her in your lap. Keep her there for another three minutes no matter… [cont.]

What was hitler's motivations in making the non-agression deal with Poland?
Q. What was hitler's motivations in making the 10 year non-agression deal with Poland? Poland had been given more German territory than any other country. So this deal was very suprising. I just need to know what his motivations were.
Asked by unknown - Tue May 19 19:38:10 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. "Poland had been given more GERMAN territory than any other country" ??? Poland didn t get ANY German territory after WWI but just regained their OWN land that was stolen by Prussia in the end of the 18th century. Before the invasion of Poland Hitler wanted it became German ally in the diplomatic way. Countries like Hungary, Finland, Romania and few others were on the German side so why Poland couldn't have been? This way Hitler not only could save some army and weapon instead of using it in the war with Poland but also could have an ally against the USSR and could have safe east borderer before the invasion of the Western Europe.

violence can lead to long lasting agression?
Q. how can violence in a video game lead to agression? what affects can they have on the mind and the persons social life?
Asked by Soccer Player WoOt!!!! - Tue Jan 15 20:39:19 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Yes violence is a long lasting aggression. Violence in TV today has desensitized [have you ever noticed the "painless" murders/injuries] people, and made it almost "acceptable" and normal. Also, violent people are usually considered the "good guys" in TV/video games. Violence in TV is correlated with increased aggression--however, that does not imply causation. It is possible to curb aggression, however.

Do painted turtles show agression towards each other after mating?
Q. About a week ago, my painted turtles mated. Then, when I woke up today, I saw that the male was biting the female's neck, and he wasn't letting go. After about 10 minutes of trying to get him off, I decided to pry it's mouth open. Do they still continue to attempt to mate after already mating? That's what's really puzzling me, because I had already seen them successfully mate about a week ago.

A. Yes, it can, both because of the actual physical injury, which can result in alterations in brain function, but also because of the stress and other emotions involved in dealing with a major injury.

A. When guests arrive take the dog out to meet them in the street before coming into the house. altogether. He will feel alot more confortable having seen you go to them rather than them come to you.

A. Do you know why the dog bit the kid? Has the dog ever shown aggression before? Could your child - no offence meant here - have done something to the dog to make it react that way? Was anyone watching them? IF the dog shows no signs of aggression while in quarantine (which is basically them keeping the dog to rule out disease and behavior asses the dog) and your mother-in-law pleads her case out in court (gives good enough reason for why they were left alone together, why the dog might have bitten - tail stepped on, ears pulled, etc) then they probably won't put him to sleep. Most places require two or more incidents of biting (or a history of aggression) for a dog to be put to sleep. They usually try to work with the owner and dog (again, [cont.]

How bad is dog agression on a Tosa Inu?
Q. I know a lot of people are gunna ask, so yes I am experienced enough to handle this dog. I was just wondering if the dog agression is managable on this dog or will I most likely have a redzone case
Asked by Josh - Wed Aug 19 04:10:05 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Amongst any well bred Tosa you are bound to see dog aggression. They were bred for dog fighting, so the drive and nature is and WILL be present. Any aggression will be "controllable"...but only if you are able to reinforce it If you feel you are ready to take on such breed, by all means, go for it! Just understand the work you will be going through beforehand :)

How do you vent your agression, anger and stress?
Q. Hi guys, I've been holding my emotions in for some years now and I've developed panic attacks from not dealing with it... I had a really big shock today but instead of holding it in and developing a panic attack I vented the anger on my printer. It's ok it was broken anyway but after smashing it against a wall several times I felt great. I could do with more suggestions for safely venting maybe a sport or something. Any idea's what do you lot do?

What can I do about this agression issue?
Q. Today my dog met another dog at the dog park. They are about the same age and same breed, both unaltered. The other dog growled and started to attack my dog. My dog did not understand and thought he was playing so at first he tried to play with him, kept following him around and trying to play but everytime he got close the other dog would attack. I think my dog started to understand that he was not playing but instead of leaving him alone he started to fight back, bare his teeth and such. Neither dog has ever shown aggression before. Can anything be done about these boys?

A. Getting them fixed would be a good start. They are probably trying to show their dominance. Fixing them would do the trick. Good luck

Male Crabs need 2-3 females per male or there will be agression?
Q. Is it true that male crabs should be around 2-3 or more females or there will be some agression?
Asked by Denise J - Sun Sep 20 19:23:54 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Some crab aggression is competition for shells. Adding extra shells to their environment can reduce aggression. Some crab aggression is due to overcrowding, i.e., competition for space or food. Reducing the number of crabs in a given space can reduce aggression. See the book, Hermit Crab, by Audrey Pavia.

A. Food aggression versus resource guarding is very difficult to determine. Dogs do not share food. The dominant pack dog will eat first and will eat its share before yielding to the next dominant dog. All dogs should be fed from their own bowl separated from each other until all are finished. All food, bones, toys, etc belong to you. Each and every dog in your house should completely yield whatever it has to you whenever you ask them too with no tenseness, growling or other displays of agression/dominance. If you can't do this with any of your dogs, there is a dominance problem in your pack, namely you are not alpha. Up until about six months of age, puppies have a "permit" to get away with just about any behavior which is probably… [cont.]

Is war a safety net to protect the human race from uncontrolled agression? Nuclear war?
Q. For thousands of years people have fought one another for control of natural resources, and dominance. What I think happens is a cycle of increased anger, then war, fear, regret, recovery, growth, satisfaction, complacency, arrogance, annoyance, anger, increased anger, war, fear. And so on round that cycle. But now war in the western world is not possible because of the nuclear deterrant. So does this block this cycle? And are we going to see an un-checked buildup of anger over the next few tens of years resulting in sufficient anger to cause a major nuclear conflict in the west, with devastating results?

After WW 2, China was setting it's sights for the complete occupation of Korea. From a Military mind set South Korea was a stepping stone for an invasion of Japan. China was focusing on uniteting all of Eastern Asia under their rule. Treaties sign by the United States to protect South Korea was formulated to protect South Korea with the end result would also protect Japan. A similiar thought process was present in Vietnam.
