Im doing a betta fish experiment and i was wondering if ph level will affect agression?
Q. Im doing a betta fighting fish experiment where multiple fish living in different ph zones will be allowed to see each other and i will monitor their level of agression. Will the ph level affect their aggression? And what are some good ways of lowering and raising ph levels? What materials will i need to raise/lower ph level? Can i buy a cheap ph reader at a pet store? no silly answers!

Why does my pup show agression in the car?
Q. My 3 month old puppy, was going to the vet for the last time 6 days ago for his last set of shots. I noticed other time previous to that trip, he was starting to become more crazy in the car. I took him in my lap, and took a toy for him. Once i put my hand on him, he would bite bark and would show major agression. He tried to bite very very hard. Then once we got to the vet, he was my good little boy, on the ride back home, again the biting, it was terrible (he was in my lap during both trips), we got home and he acts as if nothing happend and all is well. A. First - it's a really bad idea to put a dog in your lap while driving. It's a hazard to everyone else on the road, to your self and the dog. The dog - even one that isn't going crazy is a major distraction. Put the dog in the back and keep him there while driving. When he's showing aggression don't show him any attention. If you coddle, sooth, pet, coax, etc you're just egging him on. You're telling him that behavior is acceptable. If you scold, swat, or hit your dog your showing him negative attention and aggression breeds aggression. Put him in the car give a treat. Give him a toy that will keep him occupied - a kong full of treats and thats it. There are crates you can purchase for you car and that would be a great option too.… [cont.]

A. The older dog is just showing dominance over the younger one. It has nothing to do with jealousy. Simply tell the older dog no when he does it. Show the older dog (and the younger one too) that YOU are in charge, not them.

Q. I just got a 6 months old puppy who won't let my 1 year old dog go anywer near him when there is food. My older dog is very submissive and gentle so the puppy picks on him. A. Amongst any well bred Tosa you are bound to see dog aggression. They were bred for dog fighting, so the drive and nature is and WILL be present. Any aggression will be "controllable"...but only if you are able to reinforce it If you feel you are ready to take on such breed, by all means, go for it! Just understand the work you will be going through beforehand :)

A. That's not necessarily aggression. IT is merely a mature older dog telling a bratty, puppy with no manners to "back off." Totally normal but I would ALWAYS supervise the two because you never know when bratty youngster will step over the line and get in REAL trouble. Since puppy is new this will probably go on for a bit longer but soon enough your heeler will accept puppy and chill and puppy will stop being so rude. However, even though it is normal...since they live in YOUR house you have a right to direct play and say what is and is not appropriate. You can crate puppy to give it some time to chill. You also should be sure that the older dog has a place to escape and get away from hyper puppy when she gets fed up.

He is starting to go throw puberty at 6 Months they are almost fully sexually mature. You need to lay down the law. That dog need to learn right from wrong it is not too young to train. Q. Today my dog met another dog at the dog park. They are about the same age and same breed, both unaltered. The other dog growled and started to attack my dog. My dog did not understand and thought he was playing so at first he tried to play with him, kept following him around and trying to play but everytime he got close the other dog would attack. A. Hmm .. good question, I was put on testosterone therapy for endometriosis and it caused aggression, big time. It even started making me look more masculine, it was a bummer. Maybe you are on to something there. I would be afraid of the harmone therapy for men because it would likely cause feminization physically as well. Then you would have an angry, emotional guy with erectile dysfunction and sore breasts..
