Photography is the process, activity and art of creating still or moving pictures by recording radiation on a radiation-sensitive medium, such as a photographic film, or an electronic sensor. Photography uses foremost radiation in the UV, visible and near-IR spectrum. For common purposes the term light is used in stead of radiation. Light reflected or emitted from objects form a real image on a light sensitive area (film or plate) or a FPA pixel array sensor by means of a pin hole or lens in a device known as a camera during a timed exposure. The result on film or plate is a latent image which is subsequently processed by a developer into a visual image (negative or positive). The result on the FPA pixel array sensor is an electrical charge at each pixel which is electronically processed and stored in a computer (raster)-image file for subsequent display or processing. Photography has many uses for business, science, manufacturing (f.i. Photolithography), art, and recreational purposes. Lens and mounting of a large-format camera. Answered by Ansell A - Sun Nov 8 07:43:08 2009 What kind of photography lighting would be good for indoor fashion shots? Q. I'm not new, but not exactly very good with photography. To a point I can do it. I've been taking photos of clothing I make outside for the summer, and have been quite pleased with the turnout. However, winter is just around he corner and I need to take photos inside. I'm looking for lighting tips for indoor photography. I take indoor fashion shots and need something that gives me decent light. Not regular lighting that makes everything look yellow/orange. Also, There are not many windows here so light from outside is limited. Any help would be GREALY appreciated. Thanks. Asked by Obsequies - Mon Sep 25 19:16:47 2006 - - 6 Answers - 1 Comments A. You could by a couple halogen lights and place them in a way that would not create shadows. They do not have a yellow effect, as they are very bright. It also tends to depend on what kind of camera you are using. If you have a flash, use that with the back up halogen. And when you are using the halogens, do not use the room's llighting. You can buy halogens at a home supply store. I am a hobbyist photographer. Answered by Delphyne - Mon Sep 25 19:26:38 2006 What would be the best camera for photography?

I think you want a quality camera to really pursue photography on a more serious level. Here is my advice: I think you should invest a DSLR camera. It is an investment but it can be well worth it. DSLR cameras have the larger sensor so you get a higher quality images. You can change lenses which can be valuable, by allowing to adjust to different needs. There are a number of good brands so don't be sold on the idea one brand is better than another. I would keep your costs down. I would get a DSLR with a short zoom (like a 18-55mm) to start. No reason to spend more than $425 to $550. Either a 10MP or 12MP will do just fine.
