Asked by Help in - Tue Jan 8 18:18:34 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. Forensic scientists do NOT test the DNA of plants! That's just something that CSI made up. You could determine that it was the same species of plant (by morphology, etc.) but that is as far as you would go with that. I would say toxicology most. There is an entire area of forensic environmental toxicology in which people study the toxins that are put into the environment in industry. Soil comparisons too. This is a huge part of trace chemistry. I'm sure that there are more areas that it relates, but it's the only things I can think of off the top of my head. Answered by Amanda - Thu Jan 10 23:00:20 2008 Suggestions for trying out environmental or transportation planning? Q. I already have my bachelor's degree in computer science and mathematics. I haven't found anything that particularly interests me and I want to change fields. Both transportation and environmental planning sound interesting to me, but most positions require education in the field. I'm willing to go to graduate school, but I want to make sure I like the field before I do. Any suggestions on how I can test the waters? I'm in the Los Angeles area if that helps for specific programs or companies. Asked by EH - Tue Dec 2 14:07:05 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Apply at the Department of Environmental Quality as a 3 month intern. The state is hiring; one of the only places that is. You will know if it is worth spending years in grad school.. Answered by Ed Atun - Tue Dec 9 16:32:54 2008 What is a good environmental project for roofs?
Q. I need to do a project that deals with the roof, but it has to with environmental science. Asked by pooh - Sun Mar 1 18:01:59 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. Solar panels is definitely one way to go. Not only solar panels, but they now make solar shingles. These shingles replace your regular roof so instead of mounting a big panel on top of your roof, your roof is actually the solar pv collector. See this website:( Another option is planting a green roof. This means that you actually have dirt and plants on your roof. Clearly, in this option your are limited to relatively flat roofs, but what they do is insulate the roof and keep your home warmer in the winter and definitely cooler in the summer. See this website for more info: Good luck! Answered by Ona - Tue Mar 3 11:26:01 2009 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Environmental"
